BABALY – this is how Ligija (main character in this story) grandma to be asked us to call her. (Baba – is a slang for grandmother, in other languages known as Nana or Jaja.) Babaly dreamt about having a field of lavender just next to her house. As you know, if you want it badly – the wish comes true. And it did! Little lavender plants arrived from Provence and were planted next to Babaly’s house. 

As tiny lavender plants were turning into juicy purple bushes, the delicate and calming aroma has brought not only the long queues of working bees, butterflies and other insects to the field but also a lot of joy to our family. We started harvesting delicate blooms and soon, when all the vases at home were filled with flowers and all locals of La Mata were awarded with a bouquet, we squeezed the oil from some of the remaining flowers and dried the rest. To our surprise what we extracted was a top-notch essential oil. This is when we made our first product prototypes and started giving away this purple gold.People came back for it and we kept working.

Today Babaly is not only a passionate grandma but also a range of natural hand-made lavender products. It became our mission to share this natural goodness with others and there is nothing more rewarding than knowing our product is helping people to heal and soothe their aching bodies and anxious minds.
